"COVID  CHOICE"

Since Covid-19 affected our lives, I have been honored to be able to conduct my very Gentle Chair Yoga Classes online via Zoom, supported by Old Town Cottonwood, Arizona's  "Center of Universal Light" every Monday at 11 AM - Noon.

I have presented a variety of movements each week since March 2020 while most of the Yoga Studio's, Gyms, and Recreational Centers have been forced to close.  So, from two (2) straight-backed armless chairs, using a belt or strap for resistance, I address all the areas of the body that can be moved (while sitting) to help keep the body flexible and strong.

Many people have neglected their regular physical fitness routines while being quarantined at home all these months, and hopefully, by my example in these classes, they will get those joints moving again.

I add some yogic philosophy and suggestions to help make those Lifestyle changes that can help our bodies stay healthy and strong, including diet and healthy positive thoughts and actions which we can take.

I feel blessed to be able to make my life a living example of those attributes I profess to share,  through my classes and videos available on my website: www.CarolsGentleYoga.com.

It's during times like these that we should not neglect our body, mind and spirits and to be able to shine with a good healthy lifestyle. and come out of this with a new outlook on life..and a new body, mind and spirit... full of joy and anticipation for a life well lived.

CarolsGentleYoga E-Newsletter

Greetings and Thank you for reading my blog. Since this is my entry, I would like to fill you in on what I've been up to...
I have decided to feature one of my Yoga Students who has been studying with me for four years.
Doris McFadden, 80 began her yoga practice 4 years ago starting with Carol's Gentle Chair Yoga.
She now has graduated to Carol's Gentle floor Yoga.  She practices everyday at home and still
comes to class 3 times per week.   She finds much joy and contentment in her life.

She will be our FEATURED STUDENT this month
She has been quoted to say:  "

Many of my students ask me;  "What purpose does Yoga really serve in our lives." ....
Do we practice Yoga primarily for physical exercise?
Or, do we practice Yoga for more spiritual reasons?

The ancients created the paths of Yoga because they believed these were the best ways, indeed the only ways, to realize our full human potential.  No no makes this any clearer than Patanjali, the 2nd century author of the Yoga Sutra.
